Proposed Project Scope
The project is designed to address the immediate needs of the central commerical district and nearby homes. It would consist of the algaewheel treatment facility, pump tanks, piping, and electrical work as needed for the project.Future
The project contruction includes building the algaewheel treatment facilty with extra capacity to allow for additional homes to be added if needed. Piping has been designed to accomodated future expansion if needed. Conceptual plans have been developed for Phase II and Phase III construction to address additional areas if needed. Cost Ongoing costs will depend on the number of homes and businesses connected to the system. Preliminary costs target a monthly operating cost of $30-40 per unit. In addition to monthly operating costs, there will also be a monthly cost to recover the initial investment cost of the infrastrutture. We are hopeful that through a combination of Federal, State, and Local funding options coupled with private grants as needed, we can hold the monthly costs to an affordable level for all homes and small businesses connected to the system.
